Hats That Will Make You Smile

When my wife of 44 years passed away, I was a mess of emotions. My daughter said, "Dad, I know you miss Mom but you really need to do something to bring some joy back into your life."  I did.

When I worked as a door greeter at Walmart, I occasionally made hats for the kids coming to see so they might be in a good mood for their parents.  The first Easter after my wife passed, I made a hat for Easter. At the store a lady came up to me and said, "Thank you. I was having a terrible day. It was then I decided to make it my mission to make people smile.

At first I felt it weird wearing a silly hat in public but before long people began noticing smiling at my hats and stopping me on the street to look at them and ask questions.

My hope is my creations make you smile.
